When crossing a time zone, you can simply adjust the 24 hour hand to the new local time, whilst the 12 hour hand retains home time. Using the upper crown, you can turn the inner bezel and adjust it to display a 3rd timezone using the 24 hours markers of the inner bezel.
The date indication is related to the 12 hour hand, so it only changes when the 12 hour
hand has completed two revolutions.
